Yara Motal Wrex was a quietly ambitious engineering student when she was unexpectedly chosen to receive the Wrex symbiont after its previous host was killed in the final weeks of the war. She's only been joined eight months — still adjusting to the flood of memories, personalities, and experiences that aren't hers but now permanently are. The Wrex symbiont has had five previous hosts, including a Dominion War veteran and, notably, a diplomat who negotiated with the Founders decades before the war. That particular lifetime makes her valuable and occasionally unsettling to senior staff. She's eager, occasionally overconfident, and sometimes mid-conversation will go quiet as a memory surfaces that doesn't belong to her. She's trying hard to be just Yara, but Wrex keeps bleeding through.
